It’s that time of the week again. We’ve come to the end of another exciting web design project and now’s the moment to showcase exactly what our talented team can do.
This week it was the turn of the Chartered Institute of Linguists to enjoy the Identity treatment. After working closely with the organisation to understand their needs and requirements, we set about designing and building a site that would complement their goals, aims and ambitions perfectly.

As the Chartered Institute of Linguists is an organisation that revolves around its membership, it was important for the site to have a comprehensive membership area. Located in the main menu and very easy to find, this informative part of the site allows users to find out about the benefits of membership, sign up to the organisation or rejoin, renew or upgrade their membership.
There’s also information on related societies, a forum where members can discuss relevant issues and information on the various membership grades the organisation offers.
The CRM, or Customer Relationship Management, for the Chartered Institute of Linguists has been fully integrated into the site. This means that it will be easy for the organisation to manage their membership, organise their data and access relevant information easily and quickly.
Organised events play an important part in the organisation’s activities. Being able to manage the events from the site allows the Chartered Institute of Linguists to keep members up to date with the latest events and to notify them of any changes to upcoming occasions.
By including a document management system in the organisation’s website, we’ve given them an extra online tool with which they can manage their information and their online presence. Easy and intuitive to use, the system makes digital filing fast and efficient.
Full featured CMS
The site’s content management system allows the Chartered Institute of Linguists to control exactly what goes on their site and to make changes where necessary. This means that they can update text, images and other important pieces of information in order to keep the site relevant and useful.
The site’s newsletter feature allows the organisation to quickly and easily provide its members with the latest news and information. An important function for any organisation that wants to stay at the forefront of its sector, this feature was a must have for the Chartered Institute of Linguists.
Last but not least, we designed the site to be fully responsive. Not only is this great for SEO, it also allows users browsing from smartphones and tablet computers to navigate the site quickly and easily.
