Case Study: Ince Umbrellas

When a project is done and dusted, we like to take a moment to sit down and have a look back at what we’ve achieved. As well as giving us the opportunity to assess our work and ensure we’ve met every aspect of the client brief, this is also a great opportunity to showcase what exactly we can do.

So with the new website for Ince Umbrellas now up and running, let’s have a look at the site’s extensive list of customer features, its slick design and its stylish aesthetics.

Product Management

The Ince Umbrellas site was designed first and foremost to showcase the company’s high quality products. Ince wanted to give potential customers useful and relevant information about their long lasting umbrellas, with enough technical information and specifications included in the site to allow customers to make informed decisions.
It was therefore essential that the new website had a product management feature. This allows the company to update information about its umbrellas and keep the website relevant and useful.

Custom galleries

To show these stylish and durable umbrellas off as well as possible, we created a custom gallery for the Ince site. Designed to meet their specific needs and the aesthetics of the site, the specially made galleries help to make this site really stand out from the crowd.

As Ince Umbrellas sell their high quality products to customers from around the world, it was important that the site was easily accessible to buyers from other countries. To help make it as easy as possible for foreign users to access the information on the site, we’ve made the Ince Umbrellas site multilingual, allowing visitors to change the language of the text at the touch of a button.

Sticky and mega menu

Every good quality website should be easy to navigate. To make all of the information on the Ince Umbrellas site readily available, we designed the pages with both fixed – ‘sticky’ – and mega menus. For quick navigation visitors can simply use the sticky menu, or, if they hover over the category they’re interested in, a mega menu will appear helping them navigate directly to the product they’re looking for.

Full featured CMS

The CMS, or Content Management System, behind the site is packed full of features and is designed to be easy to use. This gives Ince control over what appears on the site and makes it easy for them to update the text, images and content.
